Alphabet Activities:


1.    Alphabet Action at Learning Planet lets you type on a letter, hear the name of the letter and see two pictures whose names begin with
that letter (click on the plus sign)

2.  Billy Bear's Alphabet Games has three levels. In the first lesson, click on the boxes to see pictures that begin with each letter. In the
second lesson, children are asked to put their cursor over the pictures that begin with the letter. The third lesson has them typing
the matching uppercase letter. And, finally, the fourth lesson asks childen to type the missing initial letter from a word that is pictured.

3.  The Virtual Alphabet has a song for every letter of the alphaabet written to familiar tunes. Each page also has an alliterative sentnce
and two links to further explore the subject of the song.

4.  Presenting the Alphabet (unavailable for a short while as they move the website) has pages with 5 pictures of words beginning with
each letter as well as the words listed in both upper and lower case characters

5.  Learning Planet has printable alphabet coloring pages with one letter and picture per page.

6.  Here's a game to practice ABC order from the folks at Learning Planet

7.  The Little Explorers Picture Dictionary has pictures, descriptions, and links for every letter of the alphabet

8.  Surfing for ABC's is a project done by kindergarten and first graders. They found places to go for every letter of the alphabet

9. This one's for teachers - AlphaBites has activities for all letters of the alphabet. There are some great teaching ideas here.
